Confluence has been updated to version 6.15.9

This page describes how to create a connection if you have an invitation code.

The invitation includes pre-populated connection details such as Connection name, instances short names and Destination instance URL.

You are only required to finish the configuration by accepting the invitation.

1. Navigate to Connections tabs and Accept invitation

2. Paste the Invitation code

The Invitation code is validated automatically.

3.  Select whether you have admin access to the Destination side

If you have admin access on the destination instance you can use visual mode.

The visual mode allows you to set up and configure a connection from your instance. You need to verify the access to the other side to proceed.

In case you don't have admin access on the other side you can continue to configure your side and then send an invitation to your partner.

Allows you to configure the connection on both instances using the visual mode and requires admin access to the destination instance.

4. Verifyadmin access to the Destination instance

5. Finish verification and close

You will be redirected to the remote instance in order to finish the verification process.

Congratulations! The connection is set up. Now you can proceed to the configuration.

What's next?

Configure synchronization behavior:

  1. Define the synchronization scope
  2. Add mapping
  3. Add advanced script rules

Allows you to configure only your side.

4. Choose Sync Rules template

 5.  Specify template details

The advanced template is not available during the connection creation process. You can adapt the Sync Rules later.

The connection has been successfully created. Your side is set up.

What's next?

Specify your particular synchronization behavior using Groovy-based sync rules. For more details check basic configuration guides.

Once you configure sync rules, start syncing issues
